This vibrant painting captures the serene beauty of canoeing through (are you allowed to do that?) Hollow Rock in Grand Portage, Minnesota, as the sun sets over Lake Superior.
The iconic arch of Hollow Rock is silhouetted against a dramatic sky ablaze with orange and yellow hues, while the calm, blue waters of the lake reflect the vivid colors.
In the foreground, the tip of a canoe's paddle breaks the water's surface, inviting the viewer to imagine themselves gliding peacefully through this stunning natural landscape.
