Ever been to the Vali-Hi Drive-In in Lake Elmo? I miss it. I’ve had some of the best times watching motion pictures on that gravel covered parking lot. This painting captures the essence of a bygone era at the now-closed Vali-Hi Drive-In Theater. Two figures cozy up in the bed of a pickup truck, mesmerized by the giant screen as "Take Me Out to the Lobby," plays and animated foods dance across the screen. With its vintage neon color palette set against a deep black night sky, this artwork transports viewers to a joyful moment filled with laughter, love, and the simple pleasures of summer nights under the stars in Lake Elmo.
