Minnesota State Fair

It was announced back in November 2014 that Adam would create the commemorative poster for the 2015 Minnesota State Fair. After several months of work, the piece was finally unveiled on the fairgrounds on June 4, 2015. Showcasing a revived entrance sign, the Ferris wheel, and the Grandstand, the print combines Adam’s signature bold colors and graphics with nostalgic, vintage charm for a fresh, yet classic, artistic interpretation of the Great Minnesota Get-Together. The 18x24 commemorative poster, a limited number of signed 18x24 screen prints, 11x14 screen prints, and other merchandise featuring the art is available for purchase. Proceeds support the Minnesota State Fair Foundation 501(c)(3) mission to preserve and improve State Fair buildings, grounds and educational programs.

MNOriginal did an amazing job capturing the process in this video. Check it out below!

The Minnesota State Fair Foundation began the Commemorative Art Program in 2004, using profits from the sale of limited edition posters and art to "preserve and improve State Fair buildings, grounds and educational programs." The 2015 Commemorative Art was created by iconic Twin Cities screen printer, illustrator and muralist Adam Turman, who found inspiration in the Fair's beloved landmarks and attractions, old and new.
